Pushakar is a very holy place in Rajasthan because of the lake that it is built around - no meat, eggs, beer are allowed. We only had a day here, quite a small place with 420 temples surrounding the lake and good shopping! We stopped at one of the ghats on the lake and performed the Punja which is when you make offerings to the lake for a good life, health etc. Went off on bicycles for the afternoon into the surrounding countryside to a village - dodging tuk tuks, cows, trucks, buses, people, and dogs on your bicycle while trying not to end up in a ditch was a new experience for me!
