After a 21 hour train ride from Delhi (where I manged to sleep the
majority of the way!) I am now in western rajasthan which is much more
chilled out than Delhi and I feel much more at home! Not much to report
as I hvae only been here a few hours, but is quite chilly! I am glad of
my jumber and shoes rather than my flip flops!!!

Visted the palace of the old sandstone fort, Jain temples, the royal cremation ground and wandered through the streets with the cows looking at the shops - i hvae restrained from buying anything yet otherwise my backpack will be overflowing before I even get started!

Left the town behind me for the night and took off into the desert on a camel..... we rode the camels for a couple of hours to our desert camp where we watched the sun go down, then enjoyed our dinner with folk music and dancing. Sleeping out under the stars was chilly but good fun! Woke up early to hop back onto the camels back to the city. past the wild camels, peacocks, goats and local villages there was a lot to see.
