We hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas! We certainly did! And it was certianly different!
We started by going to St Stephens Cathedral and attended Midnight mass, it was lovely to sing carol's and do something new! However lightweights that we are, it was way passed our bedtime and we only lasted an hour! It also didn't help that it was 100degrees in there (Steve thinks the devil was trying to flush us out! It worked!)
For the day we ended up not on the steam boat, we also decided not to spend $200 on a meal! Instead we spent $18(roughly 9pounds) on a Christmas dinner and we GOT an $18 dinner! We can't complain too much, however we have vowed to never have Christmas dinner on plastic plates again! And Ashlee was quite appalled when she couldn't live up to her Christmas nickname - 3puddings Clarke (they watch you like a hawk) altho we did manage to steal another serving of turkey (Well its Christmas, you can't have just ONE serving!)
For the evening, we headed down to our beloved South Bank with our Christmas tea all packed up (we had a big chocolate mudcake....Ashlee always gets her 3 puddings in the end! :p ) And we just chilled out, nothing too stressful, nothing too complicated, just hanging out (and being silly as you will see from the pics! you had to be there, it was hilarious!) All in all it was a succesful day!!

Hello!! We are very well thankyou! just got back from the great barrier reef today and had the most AMAZING time!! Words just can't describe, it was beautiful! How is everyone at home? all keeping well and warm i hope!! we dont have that prob here!! :p hehe Well we're in Cairns at the moment but are flying out tomorrow for Alice Springs for a few days then down to adelaide then back to Melbourne, we fly out of Oz on the 10th Feb for New Zealand!
We send our love to everyone and will let you know how the last two weeks of Oz go!

So sorry for taking so long to reply, thankyou for thinking of me and emailing me,I was thinking of everyone at home! We actually arrived back to Melbourne that day and had lots to organise before we flew to new Zealnd so i was occupied, it also didnt really feel like the day because of the time difference, i know it sounds silly but on my 5th of feb it wouldn't have been your 5th feb and when it did get to your 5th feb i was into the next day and we went to watch the Australia vs NewZealnd cricket match, so again i was occupied so i was ok, but of course i was thinking about her! i hope that made sense! lol
We are still good, loving New Zealnd altho the wether has affected some of our plans which is a shame but im sure we'll find other things to do!!

Hi ashlee and steve,
Got your postcard, it was 'bonza'. I will practice the lingo for when you come home. We are all well here. I will be seeing Michelle and Natasha next week at Carolyn and Pete's new place. i was so pleased Natasha got her new job. There has been lots of snow here, I was snowed in for a week! Have a wonderful time in kiwi land.
