Today we ventured down to St Kilda's beach. Initially looking like a fairly overcast day, but what did i tell you about Melbourne and it's seasons?? We got roasted...silly billy's!
The weather did turn out to be beautiful, until 4ish then it rained then it was really sunny again about 6ish!!
We headed straight for the beach when we got there, thinking that 5days in Oz and not even seeing one, was criminal.
They had little market stalls all along the road, and a little funfair at the end!
However the highlight was the pier in the evening. We were told that at about sunset, the penguins come out to the rocks, well we got there about 3hrs too early, all sunburnt and now cold! We persisted and around half 6ish we saw a couple of penguins hiding away, we didn't tell anyone else for ages so we could get good pics! We kept looking out and found a few more, we stayed as long as we could, closer to 9pm there would have been lots more, but we were happy with our few!
