It was a beautiful evening with lots of dancing, and getting to know Kaylene’s family.
I also got to do a shot with Jordan who turned 21 in Aug.
Now Kaylene has to find a new hobby.
The family arrives early for pictures and the afternoon couldn't be better. It had been windy and hot the day before so we were happy that today was so nice. Since Justine and Mike eloped in Nov last year but no family was there. That today would be a celebration of their marriage. The family gathered outside while a video was playing of their ceremony. Then the DJ introduced the family starting with the groom’s grandparents, the bride’s grandparents, parents then brothers and sisters, followed by the Bride and groom. As we came in we formed a semi circle where the Bride and Groom joined us in the center. We then did a ceremony called a ring warming; the rings are passed from the brothers and sisters to the parents then the grandparents to the Bride and Groom. Everyone holds the rings and says a silent wish or prayer for the couple. This was something I had never heard of but really made everything very special and moving.
