Within just a couple of days, Sam, Charles, and I were all pressured into attending various student activities, so tonight, Sam judged a dubbing contest, tomorrow morning, I'll judge a speech contest, and tomorrow afternoon, Charles will attend a two hour English Corner meeting.

I found out from the boy I tutor that the speech contest I'm set to judge tomorrow (Saturday) at 8:15 is likely the same one I've been helping him prepare for.  It's a bit unethical for me to judge my own student, but if I were to let the organizers of the contest know this, I doubt they'd care.  I'm going to try my best to be objective.

We plan on rewarding ourselves with a decadent dinner at the large, posh restaurant adjacent to the Yangtze river tomorrow night.  We're also planning a picnic on Sunday when the temperature, amazingly, is supposed to reach 76 degrees, and tonight we discussed going to Shanghai next weekend.  We have less than three months left here and we've decided to have the best time possible.

The title of this entry is from Mike.  While having dinner in Charles's room, we discussed books we'd read in university, and Mike said one of his classmates couldn't get past "The" in D.H. Lawrence's The Man Who Loved Islands.
