Departure Day
Entry 1 of 49 | show all | print this entry |
Working in a plastic factory is no pleasure, believe me. So when my friend asked me if I wanted to go the carnival in Rio de Janeiro, my answer was a resounding "YES!!!" A few months later I found myself on a plane, heading towards Portugal on the way to what will be the biggest party I've ever been to.
But at first, we needed some planning (and I use the term loosely), we knew where we wanted to go, and that's basically it. We figured we'll go against the herds of travelers, from Rio, all the way down to the Southern tip of the continent, and work our way up from there. This plan is a bit risky because we were basically taunting winter.
Once we bought our tickets through a travel agency, had our passports in check, sold or stored all of our stuff, all we had to do is wait until the big day finally arrived.

Shame you had to leave like this (reply) Aug 25, 2007 04:49 EST by amipalgi
The city has so much to offer, I've been living here for 7 years now and I still get exited to just walk down Ben-Gurion Boulevards or get coffee at Echad Haam st.
If you want to read more about it, see my blog:
