Von Thun's Farm

On a whim we decided to go with some friends to Von Thun's Farm in Monmouth Junction, NJ. Actually it wasn't as much a whim as the yearning to take the kids out of the house a bit and an enticing ad in the paper promising all sort of fun - and tiring - activities.
If you do decided to go, don't use the directions off the website, they are horrible (at the time this is written), but look up the address yourself on Google Maps or Mapquest (we have a GPS - but we make sure to look the place up in the map before we go anyway).
The farm is very nice and great for kids of all ages. During our visit (around Halloween) they had hay rides with pumpkin picking activities, face painting, corn maze, pony rides and many more activities. The petting zoo and seeing the farm animals were also big hits. They do have some food there, apple cider & doughnuts, or fried "stuff" (hotdogs, Oreo cookies, French fries, etc.) all very reasonable - as well as a "Country Farm Market".
It was a very nice day and best of all - the kids were in bed and sleeping away by 21:00.
