We spend 2 nights at the Mermaid Sands Holiday Apartments at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, this was an amzing bargain, we paid only AU$ 89 per night for a bedroom deluxe apartment, that is about SGD 116, which was an absolute bargain. Air conditioned with a swimming pool, about 150 meters to the beach. It was not quieter as we would have wanted but very pleasant. We had that hotel arranged at the very last minute to get a very good offer through Australia Hotels Last Minute and found that with the other Surfers Paradise Hotels and it worked just fine. The apartments was very comfortable and the staff were great in suggesting about getting around. We decided on a car rental for the last couple of days but took the shuttle transfer again back to Gold Coast Airport at Coolangatta. We went to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and alsoByron Bay, where I am sure we will stay next time we visit the Gold Coast for a holiday
