Good Afternoon,
Now this was a very nice drive altough the weather didnt cooperate as much as I would like it to but I cant change that. The whole day it was more or less cloudy and either raining or just about to rain.
I can imagine this trip to be beautiful if the sun comes out and I do get a second chance for the very first part of the trip as the train that I am taking goes along the highway as well.
Once you get to Seward I noticed how rough and what a wilderness Alaska really is. The people are very friendly but the real tough and rough kind. I think in order to survive here they must have adapted and became the more wilderness type of people.
Seward is a small harbour town with lots if fishing boats and ofcourse fresh fish which most of the local restaurants serve straight of the boat
It is also a weekend resort or getaway for the people that live in Anchorage altough I cant see the fun in that one but once used to Anchorage I guess this looks like heaven.
On the trip to and on the way back I took several pictures of Bald Eagles which were present in numerous amounts. Later on I found out that on that smalle beach about 50 miles South of Anchorage they dig for Alaska Razor Clams, several parents and young ones were feeding on the beach.
I see signs Moose, Be Aware of Moose, Brake for Moose and so on but I never see a Moose. Now to my surprise when I was hiking the Andrew Trail in Kincaid Park I almost bumped into the Moose in the picture. So all and all if you look for them you dont get to see them, if your not looking ...
Bye All.
