Travel day, from La Paz to Uyuni, which is in the south of Bolivia. Took a bus for about 100 miles, then a train for another couple of hundred. Traveled about 12 hours today.
Both the bus and train were local/regional ones filled with locals as well as a few backpacker/travelers, like us. The train was comfortable, and even had a TV in the front of the car. One movie they showed was a Jackie Chan flick. Watching it I realized how odd this was. Here I was on a train in literally the middle of nowhere in the heart of Bolivia, watching a Jackie Chan movie that was filmed in Mandarin Chinese, but dubbed in Spanish, and finally subtitled in English. Watching it with me were many Bolivians, plus my group composed of people from Japan, Singapore, Kenya, Canada, New Zealand and Great Britain. Even more odd is that it all seemed normal...
