I'm in South America!!!
A long flight from Dallas to Buenos Aires - 11 hours!!! But it went without incident. My seat mate asked me why I was going to Argentina, and I was really excited to tell him about my big adventure. He listened politely, asked questions, then I asked him why he was flying down here. He replied that he was going to be taking a small plane over the Andes, with his bike and supplies. Then he was to be airdropped somewhere in the mountains. He was going to take one parachute, and his bike and supplies another. Then he was going to bike south, on trails, and sometimes where there are no trails for 6-10 weeks (he honestly does not know how long it will take). And he will finish somewhere in Chile. He has enough food for ten days, and from then on he has to either find supplies in little towns, or fish, or eat native vegetation (his hobby is botany). Wow... my cruise ship is sounding quite comfortable right now.
Have not not seen much of Buenos Aires yet, but I know it was raining when I got here.
Off to explore!
More later...
