Back in Chiang Mai...with a new 30-day visa on arrival at the Chiang Mai airport. I had thought I would be granted only a 15-day extension on the 30-day visa that I received when I flew from Hanoi to Chiang Mai. But there it is in my passport...a new 30-day visa stamp.

So, I could stay in Thailand until Feb. 4. But home is beginning to beckon. Ten days to go. Plenty of time for more travel adventures. Nancy, who is on a tighter travel timeframe, is calling the shots now.
