17/8-18/8

Montenegro is a lovely little country and is now separated from Serbia. They are also in Euros which surprised us a little, and really it feels and looks like it is part of the EU, I would not be surprised if joins very soon. We have settled ourselves down for the last two days in Ulcinj, camping in a nice little camp site right near a long sandy beach. The fact that the sand is black and the beach covered in thousands of people all paying to lye in their identical sun beds under their identical umbrellas does taint it a bit, but it has been a fantastic couple of days relaxing and catching up on all the little odd bits and pieces.

Before we left the area we stopped in at Bars stari Grad (old town). It was all in ruins from an earthquake in 1975 but the setting was magical and the runins still gave you an impression of how life must have been like. The mountains were shear behind the town and you could see the blue sea out to the front. We wandered and absourbed for about an hr before hitting the road north.
