7/5- 9/5
We left Hamburg behind and drove to a little town called Schwerin, as recommended by the lonely planet.  A charming little place and worth the drive.  It is set in an area full of lakes, so many people can not agree on the number.  The biggest attraction has to be Schwerin Castle, more like a place, but beautiful none the less.  It is huge and right on the main lake, very ornate.
After wandering around the local market and eating a bratwurst and currywurst (currywurst very tasty!) we looked at the little town, and decided on a boat cruise around the lake.  It was nice and relaxed until 20 10 year olds came on it too!  We had a lemon beer, which was nice and refreshing and watched the scenery for an hour or so and oaked up the sun.
We decided to drive on to Lubeck that afternoon, must keep moving so much to see.  We couldn't find the camper stop there so just free camped in a car park out side of the city centre.  Had no problems over night and went to explore the next day.  This is another charming old city, with lots of green spire rising out of it.
The old town its self is not very big, and lonely took a few hrs to wander through.  Nothing stood out as being too amazing, but the old town gate/fortress was rather old and cool, and the old hospital which was one of the first in Europe was rather interesting.  The hospital was set in what you could describe as a large hall with a church attached.  Inside was a huge cavernous roof, with heaps of tiny little rooms made out of wood.  I tell you, you think you never have enough room in the rooms today, you could fit four of these rooms inside one of the rooms on T15!
We stayed overnight at a little place called Loose, near the Danish boarder.  The drive was lovely, through green fields and rolling hills.  There are also these fields of yellow flowers (if anyone knows what they are please let us know) so many here.  We saw them in France, but there are far more here, as far as you look these fields of yellow mix with the green, it is beautiful.  As we were driving near the coast, sometimes it would be a field of green then yellow then blue sea, it was a nice day getting here.
The camp site here is amusing, a lot of the caravans are permanent ones, they have good set ups, with fences and shade cloths and BBQs and drive ways..... it is crazy, they have flag poles with different flags at the top.  I think they settle in for the entire summer once they are here.  It is on a beach and it is quiet nice, but nothing like the beaches at home.  Still to cold to swim, but we are in shorts and t-shirts most of the time.  Off to Denmark now.  See you soon.
