Well we arrived in Lima with out problems and checked into the best western, we really were getting spoilt on this tour. The plan for Christmas day was for everyone to buy some picky food to share and some grog. The hotel had a nice little roof top terrace and pool, so we set up shop there. The day started with us exchanging secret Santa presents (I got a cool little beanie and Dave got a t-shirt and a traditional wind pipe) and the day continued with drinks around the pool. It was really nice and everyone had a good time. It was great being in a hot environment for Christmas again, and also nice not have to worry about working.
Well the first half of our tour finished and we had to say good bye to some really lovely people. It was actually quiet sad, three weeks doesn't sound very long, but you can get quiet attached! We finished our last night with Robo and us singing 'The Kumuka song' we had written in Punta Sal and you guessed it a night on the piss.
Dave and I are now back to reality for a week, staying in a dorm room in a back packer's hostel. Dave and Sarah and Bill and Julie were here for one night, so we had some company, but now we are hanging about waiting for Bob (Dave's Dad) to arrive. Then we spend a few days with him before starting our overland tour for three weeks!
