Today we drove completely across Minnesota. It was a beautiful day and the scenery was very beautiful as well. Farm land lined the highway as well as wind-energy windmills. We decided to stay at a State Park called Blue Mounds. We never figured out what was behind the name but it was a very beautiful place. After we set up camp we decided to check out the surroundings. We walked around the park, checked out the red cliffs, looked for buffalo to no avail and played on the swings.
When we got back to our campsite we quickly realized that camping by the river was a bad idea. The bugs were horrible! They were even squeezing their way into the tent to get to the lantern. So we had to turn off all the lights and go to bed early. We were worn out from the long drive so it wasn't too hard to fall asleep.
