Join other cruisers in a taxi to the town of Soufriere.(southern part of the island).The road is a scenic drive through lush jungle,mountains,fishing villages and banana plantations.Saw the local Snakeman who use his Boa Constrictor for massaging aching limbs. There are also lots of fern trees.On the way saw the Pitons,two volcanic cones from the coastline in the Soufriere area.They are the icons of St.Lucia.Visited the bubbling volcanic Sulfur Springs(promoted as walk in volcano) and Diamond Botanical Gardens (heliconia)
Back to Castries,the capital..Visited the Cathedral of the Immaculate,Conception.the inside is paintedwith biblical scenes of mixed African and Caribbean influence.(Black Madonna and child,lots of green,red and yellow tones).
Back in the ship,dine with the Canadians.Dance "Only You" performed by the pinoy band because it is Rock and Roll Night.
