This week has been a pretty good one. It is an unusual week also. There are 5 coworkers in town for the client. I see more people I work with hundreds of miles from home than when I am in Orlando!

Mike Yeck is here - I haven't seen him in years. Amanda Hudec is at the same hotel, along with a new financials trainer. Poor fellow. It is a good thing he didn't meet me before he agreed to come work for us. He might have given it a second thought. We did have a "Lost Party". He is a fan of the TV show Lost and so am I, so we watched it together in the lounge. Neither one of us catch the subtle hints and innuendos, but have fun nonetheless. A project manager is in town also, be we don't see much of him. Probably a good thing. He and I always seem to lock horns - because I can be a little devil - no, not me!!! Oh yes I can!

My client is a great worker and fun to work with on top of that. We have some minor code changes to make to get things calculating correctly and review all 20 lines of all 450 employee calculations. What fun! I am lucky though, for Virginia is great at it.

At the last minute we finally resolve the sheriff overtime calculations and test it. Things should work just fine.

Virginia's daughter was taken to the hospital with premature labor. Therefore, we wrapped up early. I called and found I could catch a 1:00 flight. It was 10:00. I am more than an hour from the airport. It would be cutting it close, but what the heck. I go for it.

I get the heck out of town (abiding by the speed limit the entire time - believe that?). I get behind every slow person in the entire state!! Doesn't it always happen that way. The hurrier you are the slower you go!

Anyway, I made it to the airport about 45 minutes before my flight. As my luck was going so far, I just couldn't get myself out of the car and into the airport holding and lugging all my stuff. First I dropped my briefcase, then the rental car documents. While picking them up my glasses fall off. Ok, get my glasses and the suitcase falls over. Finally I am semi organized and heading to the terminal. Wait, I didn't write down the mileage. BACK to the car, drop everything - this time on purpose. Might as well, I will probably drop it all anyway. Open the car, turn it on and get the mileage. I gather my stuff and manage to hold onto it all and make it into the building.

I have to wait behind a person who just can't decide what car to take. Do I want the silver one? Do I want the van? How about the Mustang? I am dying behind her. I have under 40 minutes to check in. Check in is closed 30 minutes before the flight. As much as I wanted to interrupt, I was spared the usual embarassment I place upon myself doing such things by another agent who suddenly appeared. I turn my paperwork in and head to Delta. 31 minutes to departure - I MADE IT!
