Well, the first stop on the SunGard US tour is over. The last day was busy and you could tell people were tired.

Poor Dave, poor, poor Dave. I helped him with his DMS lab. Well, I am not sure if help is the correct word to use. I basically just acted as the hostess for the classroom. I greeted people and showed them to their seats. Made sure they signed in, had paper, had pencils, had instructions. You know, all the things that the presenter who is not smart does to keep busy! Dave did a great job as usual.

My last class was the last one of the conference. I was surprised, we still had quite a few people in the session. It was fun, as usual. I think they learned a lot. By the last class, they have certainly learned that answering questions earns a prize or a sticker. One time I forgot but the class reminded me. One person even offered to pass things out for me. I just love the people in my classes because they play real nice with me! It was really cute, they applauded at the end. Maybe they were excited it was the last class and they wouldn't have to deal with me any longer.

After class I went over to the mall. So what else is new. Then I got my rental car and headed out to the next hotel. I quickly discovered a problem. I didn't have the name of my hotel or the address. I had packed up the information in a box I had shipped back to Lake Mary. So, I turned around and headed back to the hotel from which I just departed. I went inside and said "I need directions" "where to?" "I am not sure" Blank stare in disbelief - well deserved. So, as luck would have it I called the Holiday Inn 800 number and Yippee! I hit the jackpot on the first try. I had a room reserved with the Holiday Inn in Naperville. Ok, so now I knew where I was supposed to go, I just didn't know how to get there.

The people at the front desk of the current hotel were more than patient with me. Between about 5 of them, we found a map and they provided very explicit directions. I think they were very motivated because they didn't want me staying with them another night. They wanted me to go along my merry little way.

I found the new hotel. A grand old Holiday Inn - Select - no less. I ended up on the concierge floor. Oh darn. I just returned from a nice hour of reading the paper, talking with a few folks and enjoying some Baileys. Life is good.

Now I am back in my room, entering into my travel log. Soon I will turn in. I am really tired. Deb and I went to the Cheesecake factory last night. We had an appetizer that was so big that after we finished that we went straight to dessert. I think all that sugar had an effect. I didn't get to sleep until 2 a.m. last night, or should I say this morning. I think I will try to make up for that tonight!

Good night all! Or, good morning, as the case may be. Anyone bored with the exciting life of travel yet?
