Hanoi the crapital of Vietnam

We arrived last night to the capital of Vietnam, but not the largest city ,thats Saigon or HCMC as the locals call it. Its rather cold here, all be it sunny and personally I dont think its a nice as HCMC, unless you like pagodas and temples. There is a war museum with Gary is visiting today and this afternoon we are out of here heading back to HCMC then on to the Mekong delta which I am really looking forward to.
I think Hanoi is rather dissapointing, the old quater looks like Tooting High Stret, full of crappy plastic rubbish, there is nopthing quaint or charming about it, compared to Hoi An.
Oh well we can at least tick it off our list.
