Indianapolis is cool, it has a really nice downtown area with a big river park and a few cool, big museums. We stayed at the Indy Hostel which seemed nice enough. It was quite a bit out of time, about a $20 taxi ride from the Greyhound Station which is in the city centre. They had on live music and a wee buffet and things but we only had a night though, so we strolled about a bit downtown instead, and got something to eat at a place called Alcatraz Brewing Co, which, if you're ever in Indianapolis you should check out. They are decked out like an actual prison, bars on the doors and windows and all. The walls are plastered with pictures of San Francisco, which got me excited about actually going to San Francisco. The food was great too, and they had a lovely long list of home brewed ales, lush for Jady. Oh yes. The next day, we got up reasonably early and headed out to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which only cost $3 to get into and it was fantastic. As well as the hall of fame for the Indy 500, they had a museum with hundreds of pretty cool cars from the very first ones made to the newest models. We also watched a video detailing the history of 'The Brickyard' as they call it, which was great. After the full track tour it was back downtown for an afternoon bus into Nashville, Tennessee.
