The dream of having a sister mural in Chico was beginning even before we finished the mural at La Casa de los Ninos in Lo de Marcos. During a visit to Chico in September, Amalia and Robbie decided that they would "just do it." Why not now....Robbie would be leaving for Oregon in less than a week, so they had better get with it. Robbie and Amalia make an amazing team in their collaboration on art inspired by Mexico and their home town of Chico. The home of the mural is Rosedale Elementary School. A special place for Dave and I because our grandchildren, Kailee and Cameron went to school there. It is a wonderful school with an enormous heart. It is also home of a tile memorial created in November 2005 in honor of Kailee and Cameron.
