We knew it was going to be a special day because it was the last official day for Dulce at La Casa. We have known for sometime that this day was coming but personally I just didn't want to think about it. We have been preparing and working towards our reorganization of La Casa and all has gone well. It was also the last day before Dave and I leave to go back to California for a few months. Trini and Dianna are also taking 6 weeks off for summer school and working on the Playa. So we started out to make it a fun last day....and it was.

We had a special sign language lesson which caught all of our attention. We all learned a few things about the "Silent" people, and about how much fun it can be to learn to speak with your hands.

We continued to work on our Pen Pal letters for Santa rosa and made thank you cards for many of our generous contributors. The "I Spy" puzzle was a fun group project. All the pictures are up on the wall with the kids names and the supplies have had a once over by Willie who is the queen of organization. The Biblioteca is painted with butterflies and the Salon de Juegos was thoroughly cleaned by Trini. Wow....that was alot...not to mention the beautiful Mural on our front porch and all the sea life painted by the kids. A new sign up on the roof makes us proud when we drive up and alerts those out looking for La Casa de los Ninos.
