Saturday morning came early because there was a fun bon fire, perros calientes (Hot Dogs) and Bon Bon (Marshmellow) on the beach last night until the wee hours.....and the fishing excursion with Carlos, Robby, Amalia and Chui was the first on the agenda at sun rise. They came back with a bunch of "fiesty crustaceans" (lobsters)and a few fish stories to tell. Amalia and Robby made breakfast and took a short nap. Patti and Ducle got off to an early start at La Casa. Of course as soon as we opened the gate to La Casa we had the Ninos there to help. We worked on our ocean scene as a backdrop for the Pez' (fish) that the ninos will be painting on next week. Robby and Amalia took the sun upwards to the far reaches and Willie was totally "sun struck" when she came to see the mural for the first time today. We had the IPod plugged into the speakers and rocked out to Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Queen and the Beatles........
Willie and Patti (one of the ninas) got together in the activities room and began to organize paper supplies. They are made for each other....both love to sort and clean things up and La Casa always needs that
Dave got busy washing Senor Frog (the golf cart). He really gets into the job...check out the facial expressions...Robby couldn't resist taking his picture as he was intently washing his ride.......
The past few days, we have been lucky enough to have two little darling girls bring us Mariposa's (Butterflies) that they caught. Of course they are handling them with care and are in complete awe of the little creatures. Nicole age 3 (Norma's daugther) and Natalie age 4 ....are the little darlings with the Mariposas....
Tired and thirsty, we took off to the Palapa restaurant for lunch and refrescos before heading home for a siesta........
Robby was awakened from his nap on the lounge chair out on the beach by his buddies who wanted him to go Wake Boarding with them. We watched him stand up on that board and stay up on it for several trips to the cove and back....Amazing!!!! Wish I had a picture of that to show you.......Then off for a night lobster dive. He gave us the quick version of the story about Phosphorescence glowing all around as they swam through the dark night....glowing!!!! can't wait to hear more about that.....really wish I had pictures of that to share.
Tonight is a Graduation Party for Yvonne who graduates for High School. Amalia looks great in her gold gladiator sandals and Robby in his red Sierra Nevada Shirt......more tomorrow....stay tuned.

Great job on the Travel Blog my friend
Vallena has taught you well. Love all the pictures and am as amazed as Willie Girl at the progress. Amalia sitting in front of the sun should be framed, a beautiful picture - and I loved seeing you and Dulce smiling together. Dave working hard - looking forward to meeting Senor Frog. Keep 'em coming. My treat in the morning. Love you all - Jeanne
Morning Sunshine
Just being able to participate in this magnificent artistic, social, athletic, and scientific festival via the world wide web has made all the computer headaches I have ever had seem microscopic by comparison. Thank you for sharing. Bev
...oh, and I forgot
Nicole so gently holding her mariposa is just precious...just look at her soft, sweet fingers. I have to figure out how to get my picture on here...don't particularly like the dark 'no photo' face...not too cute if you know what I mean (and I know you do!). Love you my friends.
Re: ...oh, and I forgot

Summer Solstice
I just had to point out that the timing of the mural was very appropriate with Saturday, June 21 being the summer solstice.
It is a beautiful mural and I hope all involved are enjoying its creation.
Love,
Wendy
