So after sort of a rougher time in Bolivia we decided to treat ourselves to a nice hotel.  So we booked the Sheraton in Salta for 3 nights and got our act together.  Salta is great!  We can walk around with out fear of getting killed by a bus, they have great podestrian streets, great wine, and awesome food.  We realized here that we are really going to like Argentina!

During the day we would work out at the gym, lay by the pool, eat cheese and salami baguette sandwiches and  for lunch, drink a bottle of wine in our room while getting ready for dinner, eat a great steak dinner with another bottle of wine, and then gamble at the casino in our hotel.  We also each got a brownie everynight for turn down service because we have silver status.  Our days/nights were so perfect it was hard to leave!

The best place we ate at was El Solar de Convento- so good we ate dinner there twice.  We would get a salad, 2 amazing steak dinners, a bottle of wine, and an ice cream sundae for $30!  Go there!

While in Salta we also bought a cheap camera to use until Chris' dad comes and brings us the nice camera we ordered online (which is in 3 weeks).  The crappy camera is a film camera so, sorry, no pics on the blog for a while.

We also decided to go buy plane tickets to Brazil using miles we had saved.  So no Patagonia this trip. . .

Nice!
You really got the VIP treatment! I wish I had someone bring me a brownie every night...It's great to treat yourself when you're traveling.
