the tour continued. . .

Day 4-5 hours in the car.  Our butts are getting tired, but we have a nice group and we keep
rotating seats.  And Lucas has a tape of French music, including some
of his own stuff, that we all really enjoy listening too.  We wake up and go to this Desert Island in the middle of the Salar.  We walked to the top of the island and watched the sun rise.  It actually looked like we were on a deserted island and the sun was coming up over the ocean.   There was white salt as far as you could see.  To add to the scenery the Island was covered in giant cacti.  From there we took some perspective pictures on the Salar.  Unfortunately our camera broke about 1 hour before, so we have to shared pics with Genevieve.  We were not very creative with our pictures, as we found out once we saw really good ones in Uyuni, but they are cute none the less sunrise over the island on the Salar

We ended the tour at the Train Cemetery.  It was just a junk yard filled with old fashioned trains that are rusted and embedded in the ground.  Then our lazy cook cheated us out of lunch and our guide made us rate him and was mad we gave him an 8 out of 10!  It was not the best way to end a good tour.

We all did our own thing for a while (we bought overnight train tickets to Argentina) and met up again at Minuteman Pizza.  This place is owned by a pizza chef from Massachusetts who moved to Bolivia for his wife.  This guy makes awesome pizza and he is very friendly!  He suggested some of his favorites he makes and they were good!  The whole group met up again and we splits some yummy pizza and some beers before saying goodbye.
