Where I stayed
We spent the next few hours just resting and relaxing, until we eventually left for our flight.
The flight to Vegas was very comfortable (compared to the one to Texas at least). There was hardly anyone on board, we were right near the front of the plane, and we had lots of room.
As we got closer to Vegas, the views from the plane were amazing. There were snow capped mountains in the distance, lots of dry, rocky terrain, and I got a great view of the Hoover Damas we flew over it
When we landed, we could see all the casinos from the runway which was very cool. I liked that when I came to Vegas a couple of years ago. You can see New York, Eqyptian Pyriamids, Paris...all of the themed casinos.
Just as I recalled from last time, as soon as you step into the airport terminal, there are pokie machines everywhere. Yep, that's Vegas for you!
We caught our shuttle bus to our hotel, which was Circus Circus, obviously a Circus themed Casino/ Hotel/ theme park.
As soon as we settled in, we went and checked everything out. Inside our casino, there is a giant Adventuredome which is essentially like being at the Royal show where the sideshows and rides are, only inside a casino. We were walking around with our giant cans of Four Loco open which we weren't sure if we were allowed to. We figured we would get our photo taken with some cops and then we would find out. All good! Nobody cares what you do in Sin City!
One of the counters was selling the oversized novelty margaritas as well as guitar shaped drink holders which were huuuuge! $30 full and $15 for a refill. I know what I'm drinking tomorrow night!
By the time we made it back to our hotel, we were exhausted and ready for bed already. We would be needing our sleep for another few busy days in Vegas.
