My second day was a relaxing one but it would be the last day like that for a while. We had the big family lunch on and all 40 relatives came back. Unfortunately I wasn't 100% recovered from the hit on the head so by the end of the big meal and after getting lots of photos taken with all of the relatives, I needed a lie down.
Later in the night, we went for a drive around the neighbourhood and looked at the beautiful houses with all of their Christmas lights still up. With the snow everywhere, it really looked beautiful and Christmassy. We also went and had a look at the high school that Nicola went to when she lived here with her grandma. After that we went for a drive on an old dark spooky road called Sweet Hollow road which has lots of ghost stories associated with it. It was a pitch black and winding, country area with big spooky houses. It would have been fantastic for Halloween night.

This day had been a nice and relaxing one and the next day was much more exhausting and was the start of our proper sightseeing time in NY.
