So today was a more relaxing day that ended nicely with the lovely reception to the wedding of Christine and Matt Curtis.

I began the day with a full breakfast buffet in the Tavern. I got up early so I could still order individual items off the menu but I was hungry so I decided to go for the whole enchilada. Well not really, they didn't serve Mexican food. But I did have a waffle and a bagel and some fruit and I took a box of fruit loops for later. Then I took a paper from the lobby that I think was complimentary and went and sat in the gazebo in the garden to read a bit. It was very nice out there and for some of it I had some music because they were checking the sound system for a wedding that was going to be out there.

Then I went back to the room and since the lady hadn't cleaned it yet, I decided it was best if I went out to do my work. So, I went to Barnes and Nobles. I sat there and worked on my project and drank my vanilla latte. I listened to the one lady who worked there complain about how this one girl always does everything while she is on break so when she comes back she has nothing to do and gets in trouble. I found it a bit hard to believe because I was there for an hour and a half and I was waiting the whole time for her to clean the gross table behind me so I could move to plug in my laptop. So I am pretty sure she gets herself in trouble.

But yes I got a good amount of work done. Then I went to Target and picked up some necessities and snacks in case my family was famished when they arrived to see me. And then I got some Panera mac and cheese and went back to my hotel. Now I have been gone an additional 2 hours after the 1 hour I was away for breakfast. But my room was still not clean. So I sat there and watched that movie about the football player who finds out he has a daughter and kind of coded a bit. I also got my hair and face all ready for the events of the evening. Then I got to see the beginning of I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry which looked funny. This is when the lady finally came and begrudgingly cleaned the room. Then mom and dad called and I went to meet them at Panera where they had lunch and I had a little snack.

Now it was time to get in to full wedding preparation mode. So we all went back to my room and changed and freshened and all that good stuff. Then we made our grand entrance. OK not exactly. I just went looking to make sure Grandma was OK and then ran into my friends Alexa and Tanya and so I chatted with them.

The reception was very nice. It was beautiful and the food was delicious. I very much enjoyed seeing friends and other people I had not seen in a long time. The speeches of the families and friends of the couple were very touching. The band was very good, too. I was sad when I realized they were done and I didn't dance as much as I should have. I did dance once with one of my dad's student's, Aaron I believe his name is. I believe he enjoyed dancing with my mom more but she really gets in to it so I can understand if he did.

It was a beautiful night. I am so happy for Christine and Matt and wish them the best for their marriage! However, it was a late night so the details are slipping from my mind the longer I am awake.

Tomorrow, we will attend a brunch with the family. I am not sure if Christine and Matt will be there but it is possible. Personally I think that is a little awkward but some people do that so that's cool. The rest of the plans for tomorrow are yet to be decided but I assume I will be spending lots of time with my family. Oh yes, Becky's boyfriend Jake is flying in so we are hanging out with him. Isn't that a lovely father's day present? But I think it will be fun.

Oh yes, one more thing. I do have some pictures of this event but I will upload them later possibly tomorrow. I also should try to get some of mom's pictures because they are better and she actually went to the ceremony so I could pretend I was there too.
