This was time to see some of Cape Town for a few days. We arrived in the late afternoon and had a lovely view of table mountain from our hostel window. Unfortunately it was too late in the day to go up the mountain. Unfortunately this was to turn out to be our only view of the top of the mountain as the clouds set in for the rest of the time we were there. We managed to book tickets to get to Robben Island on the 7th, and had a look around for the remainder of the evening.
The next morning we had planned to head up Table Mountain to check out the view - this was not to be however, the low clouds had set in overnight. Instead we did a walking tour of Cape Town until it was time to go to Robben Island. We turned up at the ferry only to find that this was also cancelled due to the weather!
The next day we booked a trip down to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope
Thankful that we had finally manged to do something touristy in Cape Town we headed back to the hostel to get organised for our very early flight out the next morning.

The Clock Tower
. It rained! We did manage to see all the sights, but didn't get to do either the cycle or the hike due to the rain. We did however get to go to Seal Island (on a very rocky boat!), and we stopped at The Boulders which is where the Penguins hang out. There is a path built above the rocks to walk along and the Pengiuns are all around. We had quite an entertaining time watching the goings on here. From there it was down to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. Both pretty impressive scenery, particularly with the storm waves coming into shore.Thankful that we had finally manged to do something touristy in Cape Town we headed back to the hostel to get organised for our very early flight out the next morning.
