Are we there yet?

We finally landed in Africa around Midnight. However, we weren't in Johannesburg, we landed on some island on the West African coast. The pilot came on the PA and informed us, ...kshhht... "We have just arrived to Ska Island, we ask that you all remain in your seats while we crew change. We will also have some other passengers boarding during this time. So we ask you to sit back and relax and enjoy this one hour layover before the 8 hour flight to our final destination, Johannesburg." ...kshht... That was a little bit of a bummer... to realize I wasn't even halfway there . The rest of the trip I slept.
