I had one week to get ready for yet another trip to Gabon; however before I journeyed to the equatorial country, I discovered yet another Gem of Angola. The weekend following New Years, my friend Erlend (from Norweigh) returned from his days off and we ventured to his Girlfriend's house for dinner. (Telma is the daughter of General Geraldo Sachipeno Nuda, who switched sides towards the end of the civil war because the group he left started doing some 'bad' things he didn't particularly agree with... anyways, he was a key factor to bringing peace to Angola after 30 yrs of war - not to mention the 30 more years before the civil war to get independence from Portugal) So before dinner, Erland and I had a couple drinks with Juju (Geraldo's first born - 2 yrs older than Telma whose 23 yrs) and his friends. I enjoyed a 12 yr old Scotch Whiskey on the rocks... with Juju and his friend Bruno - which did spark up some interesting conversation. Juju informed me that he is a Surfer and has traveled all around the world surfing... which got me really excited. He said he goes surfing every weekend at a beach 2 hours south of Luanda and invited me to go. I was unable to make it with him until the weekend before I headed to Gabon.
