Where I stayed
North Vancouver Hotel
We made it across the border and into Canada, eh! This is the first time that we've stayed at a hotel two nights in a row so I insisted on "unpacking" when we got there. By unpacking I mean actually bringing my suitcase into the room and putting my toiletries bag into the bathroom. It was a nice feeling though and it will be even nicer to board our ship for the cruise!
Friday we rented bikes and toured the city. We biked around Stanley Park which is a giant urban park with a bike and walking path around the perimeter. From there we biked to Granville Island which has a huge public market. It's full of stalls with food, produce, jewelers etc. When we had lunch we saw this old man sitting reading "Japanese for Busy People". Since we sat there for nearly an hour and watched read about 3 pages total, we're pretty sure he's not one of those "busy people". Not much else to report but Jon wants me to let you all know that he's appalled by the ridiculous beer prices, and astonished that they have dollar coins. . .
Setting sail tomorrow! Hope everyone is doing well!
