There's not much to tell about Auschwitz that you probably haven't learnt at school but seeing the place in real life and hearing the stories of what actually happened and in the actual buildings is a shock to the soul and will make you feel sick to the stomach. Also a place where 1.5 million people were murdered and their ashes scattered all over the land sure does have a very shape chill in the air that you'll feel down your spine from the second you arrive to the second you leave.

The stoner in this picture which is placed at the very end of the train tracks that brought all the people to the camps is to symbolise all the people that dies. The story comes from when the Jews were travelling though the desert from Egypt to Israel and when people dies they had to cover the bodies with small stones, so now a small stone is usually left in memory of a person(s) rather than flowers or such like.

I'm not going to give you any of the horrible stories I heard or even some of the horrible items on display that i saw but all I'm going to say is you need to visit Auschwitz, you have to visit Auschwitz!

This video below is of 4 people singing in remembrance of everybody that lost their lives at Auschwitz, they are sitting on the remains of one of the largest gas chambers which the Germans tried to destroy to hide the evidence as the war was coming to an end, so in fact they are exactly sitting where more than 500,000 people were murdered. If you have a heart this video really hard to watch...
