. Next we had to meet back up with our tour guide and see more mosaic floors. When our tour finished, the bus drove us to our hotel where we checked in and had dinner. After dinner we walked thirty minutes in the wrong direction looking for a hookah bar only to find out it was forty minutes in the opposite direction. We finally arrived at the hookah bar at 12:40, an hour before it closed.
The next day we got up early and were down at the beach by 9:45am. Myself and four other girls went kayaking around the ocean for a little more than half an hour. The seas were as calm as they would be in a lake and the water was clear like the Bahamas. During the course of the day, I took three long swims out to a rock formation and two long walks on the beach. Around 5pm, we headed up to the pool and hung out around the pool for a while. After we showered and changed, the girls and I (Paige, Randi, Andi, Lauren and Jillian) went out to a Japanese restaurant for dinner. The sushi was really good, but the lamb chops were very salty and oily. Instead of going out to a club, we all went back and went to sleep. Some of the girls got a ton of sun, but I was smart and put sunscreen on.
On Sunday we went back to the beach and Paige and I took a long walk. We than hopped back on the bus and drove to a village for lunch and headed home.
This weekend we took a trip to Pafos and Limassol. We left Friday at 9am and set off to do some site seeing. We stopped at two old castles. The second one had a drawbridge and pepper plants lining the outside. The pepper plants were planted by monks living in the castle, who boiled it and drink it to curb their sexual appetite. During out, driving we saw a ton of lemon and orange groves. Next we went up to Aphrodite's birthplace and saw the crystal clear waters along the cliffs. We than made it up to an excavated house complete with mosaic floors. The floors were amazing! We stopped in a town for lunch where we feasted on "fresh" seafood on the side of the water. I use the word fresh lightly because everything we ordered off the menu was canned or artificial, apparently if you go to a fish place advertising fresh fish and don’t specify fresh vs canned, you will get canned. After lunch we got ice cream and dangled our feet over the edge of the boardwalk and I walked out into the ocean up to my thighs
