! We got lost about a dozen times each time getting different directions. After arriving at our destination and settling into our rooms we went to a local eatery for some lunch. Randi, Andi and I split a minced meat dish that was deep fried and had a sweet cinnamon taste to it. For lunch I had a lamb dish with a yogurt sauce with eggplant in it. For dessert we split a banana, whiskey and honey concoction and a fig ball rolled in what looked to be coconut and pistachios. The banana dish was very yummy while the fig was a little questionable and very chewy. Afterwards we made our way to the Grand Bazaar. We must have spent hours wondering around and getting lost looking at all the goods. The place was like a mall but everything was every where and there where streets almost like a covered village. On our way back we stopped at a restaurant called Boy-Boy. We all split a cheese pizza, a minced meat pizza and another dish that was almost like a roll quesadilla with minced meat with a yogurt sauce. In addition we tried a yogurt drink which tasted like greek salted watered down yogurt, would not recommend it at all. After dinner and a nice hot shower it was finally time to sleep after being up for 23 hours!
We flew to Romania and when I started getting my stuff ready to go through security the connecting flights the guy asked where I was going and said Istanbul he laughed and said no and waved me away. It was midnight and our flight isn't until 835 so we can't check in yet. After finding some couches to crash on and taking an hours nap we got yelled at for sleeping on the couch and in my half asleep/lack of slEep state sat up and said but its quarter to four in the morning and we can sleep? What kind of place is this? And flopped back down on the coach and went back to sleep. Sleeping in the airport was like trying to sleep in club with the lights on, heat blaring and music blasting. After getting a little over an hours sleep we were finally able to fly to turkey. Once we landed and got our visas and went through customs we tacked the metro to get to our hostel. Being the avid subway riders we are we were able to negotiate our way to the correct stop. However once we got off the metro our adventure began
