Thursday found us enjoying the beach at beautiful Treasure Cay.  The 3 ½ mile long beach with it's white powder soft sand is spectacular and truly deserves the distinction of being one of the world's best beaches.  We spent 6 hours sleeping, sunning and just gazing over the gin clear turquoise blue waters.  There are no reefs or rock there so there are no little fish that would draw big fish so it is totally safe to swim there.   While there, Ed and Pam Jenkins of s/v Pamonetti stopped by for lunch and then later that afternoon Paloma snagged a mooring ball and we all met for happy hour then Pizza Night at the Tipsy Seagull.  Joining us too were Cindy and Ken Miller of s/v Meant To Be, the Millers were docked next to White Wave in Brunswick, Georgia and we have been running in to them (not literally) the rest of the time.  That appears to be the norm, you tend to see the same faces everywhere you go.

On Friday we wound our way out of the treacherous passage that leads to Treasure Cay bound for Man O War Cay and another treacherous opening to the harbor.  That entrance featured rocks and coral on both sides of the very narrow channel.  We snagged a mooring ball right next to Pamonetti and then took off to tour the town.  2 hours later we had had lunch and seen most of the sights and were back on board.  Ed and Pam were staying another day so that they could rent a golf cart and spend the day touring the whole island.  We told them it wasn't going to take that long.   Man O War is a quaint little place populated with about 300 people named either Albury or Sawyer, boat building and sail making.  There's a store that sells all kind of bags made of sail cloth and in one end are 6 ladies at sewing machines making those bags.  It's a definite must do ONCE type of place.

Saturday, we made our way back to Marsh Harbor and "home" where we will wait out the anticipated cold front - the one that will bring the Atlantic Seaboard 2 to 10 feet of snow - we're going to get high winds and maybe some rain and the temperature will drop way down to 68 (brrrr).  We (Sue and Kelsey) will also be bidding our crew (Don and Gerry) farewell on Wednesday as they will be flying home to North Carolina then.  Then on Thursday we and Mary and Gerry Hunter will welcome back Myrna and Dave Gibson for a short visit before Dave will have to go back to W.O.R.K!  The plan right now is to go back to Treasure Cay for a couple days - such a hardship!
