Naples is a seaside town situated on a hill, much like Darjeeling, but not quite as hilly! It was a fun town. Not much to see, but fun to walk around and people watch. Some old school Italians here mixed with hip young Napolis and the most hip shops anywhere! These people know their fashion! In Italy, they do their mid afternoon snooze and reopen everything later at night. Me, not being used to this habit starved throughout most afternoons for the first week in Italy so I ate like a horse when I could which was easy cause it is Italy! My stomach at this point is starting to have some issues with the change in diet from India however so I had to take it easy. Bread, after going without for so long in India, was not agreeing with my system! I actually had Mexican one night cause it was the only place I could find open. On my third day in Naples I took a ferry out to the island of Capri. There wasn't much to do there in Winter, but it was a beautiful vacation island very popular and I spent the day leisurely walking around. When I first got there I bought a mozzarella, tomato sandwich, bananas, cookies and a bottle of Capri Muscat wine which went down just fine on the pebbly beach in the afternoon! That night I took an overnight train to Sicily!
