Ready? We'll see. Hopefully. I'm pretty much packed (including malaria pills!) and have plans to purchase some things upon arrival--like my very own mosquito net. I'm trying to take the adage 'pack light' very seriously--I have about 3 shirts. At least I can buy things in Bangkok if necessary... leaving tomorrow morning for one more day in San Jose! I'll get to see most of my former roommates, friends, and not to mention all my former co-workers and the volunteers at the Rape Crisis Center, because my arrival happens to fall on the night of the annual Volunteer Appreciation BBQ. I just have to get through the flight first! The four hours from Chi to SJ seems ridiculously silly compared to the 11 hours to Tokyo and then the 7 hours onward to BKK. Eek. Here we go!
