Show trip route
I feel like we haven't done much to day. We left the hotel 10:30 in search of a bus to Disney only to be told that the only bus there was the hotel shuttle that left at 12. This put us behind a bit but it was free so we could complain too much. Instead we went for an all you can eat buffet, American style. They had everything we could have possibly wanted for just $3.99 bargain.
Before we went for breakfast though i had some very important business to attend too. I had deal with the non pen situation. On Tuesday we eat at pandrosa and in doing so we got a free gift from the gift shop next door. We were excited when we found out it was a pen cos this meant we could keep it as it would come in useful. Only when i took it out with me for the first time i realized that in fact the pen was a non pen, by that i mean i opened the lid to find no ink or tip in side the empty shell. This although very funny at the time was annoying as we now had no pen to sign our Disney tickets with (life's hard i know)
So first adventure over it was time to head to Hollywood studios. When we got there it was running late. It was 1:30 and we had yet more food to eat at 4. It ended up working out OK though, after looking at the map we realized there wasn't much we wanted to do. We did go to Narnia, through a few movies such as Mary Poppins and wizard of oz and also to Orlando's movie set and bone yard, where we got caught up in a movie flood simulator and watched volunteers get wet through various stunts. They were all fun and i got some Micky stickers, so I'm happy.
Dinner was buffet at Hollywood and vine, thanks giving dinner with a twist all you could every want on one plate. All the food is starting to take a toll on me now, thinking of salad tomorrow.
Wanting to watch the show Fantasmic at 6:30 we went straight to the arena to get a good seat. We were there very early, an hour and a half before the show. We were kept amused though by a conversation with a man who had been to Disney 50 times this year and had made a badge to show it. It was so cute he talked to us about must sees and bits to look out for in the coming show. We were also kept entertained by the ended less attempts at the Mexican wave.
When the show finally came on we were blown away as we have been with all American shows so far. It had a strange mix of water displays fire works, live actors and lights. Well worth a watch and the wait.
While speaking the the man in the arena he had told us about the Osborne family lights display which he suggested we check out. We did and it was crazy! i have never seen so many lights, you will have to check out the pictures to believe me (although they don't do it justice). Apparently they used to belong to the Osbourne family house but they donated them to Disney. Every now and again they would play a Christmas song and the lights would dance to the music. It was a fantastic experience.
Our shuttle was at 9 from epcot so we had to get a bus from Hollywood to there by then our feet were aching. Early mornings, late nights and walking constantly are starting to take its toll now. But we will carry on going though cos its Orlando.
