Show trip route
Woke up to day in the sun shine state with the sun actually shining. We had already decided that our first stop in theme park heaven was going to be Sea world. I could not wait to see yet more killer whales after my first trip to Loro Park .
It may come as a big shock but this morning we actually got up in enough time to go for breakfast, and International house of pancakes seemed the perfect place to go for the famous American breakfast. I was really shocked once inside to discover that people were ordering burgers at 9 in the morning
Absolutely full to the brim we headed of to find sea world, which was actually very easy using the i-ride trolley service which runs up and down international drive. We bought a 14 day pass from reception at our hotel and it only cost us $17.
I was getting really excited at this point i could not wait to experience what Orlando had to offer. I have heard so many amazing things about the theme parks and can't wait to say i have experienced it all too.
From the moment i saw the entrance i knew i would love it. We queue for a bit but not too long. When we got in side we noticed they had Christmas songs blasting out all around us and the decorations all around
Our first stop had to be Manta, a big roller coaster which was an awful lot like air at Alton towers. Your sat in a lying down position look down. Th queue was an aquarium which we thought was awesome, made the queue seem so short. The ride itself was a lot higher, faster and scarier than air which we didn't expect at all, but it was an amazing start to the day.
Filled with the excitement of thrill ride w headed straight across the park to got on the parks other coaster 'Kraken'. Its amazing how much different height can make to a roller coaster. Both Manta and Kraken had really high tug hills and this made the rides so much more intense and also gave us a great view of the park.
After going on the ride and seeing a bit of what sea world had to offer it was time for our first show, the whale and dolphin show (although we are still in debate as to whether there were whales in it)
We headed straight from there to the water ride' Journey to Atlantas' to cool of a little bit. I didn't get as wet as i thought but the guys we had swapped with in the front got socked, so we had to laugh.
Wondering around a little waiting for the Clyde and Seymour take on pirate island show to start with the sea lions. Starting to get hungry we were on a quest for food but finding a hot dog or burger in Sea world proved to be more difficult that we first thought. Walking around taking in the scenery we actually ended up having to see the show before we could find any food.
The show was really funny
After this show we went to the shark encounter and then finally found food and sat outside in the glorious sunshine feeding the birds on scrapes with a fantastic view across the water. We were bidding our time now until the Shamu show at 5:30 which we were both the most excited by. Nicky bought a ride photo from Manta and a Killer Whale necklace which was exactly what she wanted. I really wanted a photo of me with a killer whale in the background looking at the camera from the underwater view site. So we headed off and found it within seconds. They had a baby whale few weeks old following its mother around in its shadow it was so cute. I didn't think there was much hope in getting the picture i wanted as they were all swimming around entertaining them selves. But i was shocked to notice one looking straight at a little boy on the other side so i ran round
I left there very happy and ready for the show. Apparently we has a shorter show than usual but it was getting dark but the time the show started and the park closed at 6. So i reckon they might have shortened the show to fit it in. It was good though, felt sorry for the divers as it was now getting colder and we had learned in the intro played before the show that the pool had to be kept at 53F.
Now it was dark and the park was closing we took a nice long stroll back to the entrance with lots of photo stops. The Christmas decorations were all lit up and the Christmas song still blasted out. It was really nice and so pretty.
On the way back to our hotel we stopped off for food at Pandarosa
We felt walking back to the hotel might be a good idea all that food left us feeling very fat, we also wanted to pick up our free gift which we received for eating which we had to pick up next door. This turned out to be a Florida pen which is always useful. Looking around the shop though i ended up buying a top some shorts and a new bikini, which i am really happy with. I love Orlando merch, they love pirates that could be why. Bought some pirate sunglasses from down the street too.
Now we have just stocked the fridge with juice and tea and are settling down. Magic Kingdom Disney tomorrow. Don't wanna sleep to excited i feel like a big kid!
