Where I stayed
Inside the Port building there are more stores, and many funky little restaurants. Outside is a great view of the Bay Bridge...not as famous as the Golden Gate, but even bigger. More than once I was asked to take someone's photo for them, and in the process met people from China, Lebanon, the Eastern US and even Windsor Ontario!
After a coffee break at Starbucks, back into the Cable Car and up the hill, heading to Fishermans Wharf....on the way we stopped and climbed up the hit to the Worlds Crookedest Street
From there back into the Cable car and down to the Wharf. We walked out on Hyde Wharf and looked at the boats and stuff there. Lots of great souvenier shops along Jefferson Street, and we were out looking for some gifts, but we were hungry too. We checked out a bunch of pretty expensive places, and settled on Joe's Crab Shack...a chain we found out..that was reasonable and looked fun.
Nikki was our server, a pretty Japanese/Filipino lady, and we order Mussels for Allan and some cheese Chicken thing for me. Food was great, beer and drink was good, and the dancing servers were fun!
Off to Starbucks for a coffee and some fun conversation with a couple of ladies from the UK, we were back out on the street, shopping some more, and then back on the cable car for an after dark ride....we toured around the city and then back to the hotel.
Tomorrow up early to see Alcatraz, so an early night tonight!
