Altered Conciousness

Experiencing the freedom to alter ones consciousness without consequence. Eating and living the space cake adventure is what Anders and I am doing on this Sunday night. Well I would say that my entire life I have lived pretty straight and narrow. A couple times in college I tried marijuana with some friends, but found it not to my liking and unable to breath the next day. However, it is very interesting when you come to a country where this notoriously illegal substance is being served in bars and sold at street markets. In Amsterdam marijuana is very much legal and sold in every way shape or form. Intrigued Anders and I decided to experiment and try the out the space cakes offered in the area.

Anders found out a good place to by the space cakes, so we walked down the street to a hash bar and made our selection: one blueberry and chocolate muffin and one cinnamon raisin cake all with weed not hash. Thought we'd do a taste test for my reading audience. So if you are ever in Amsterdam and feel the need to alter your consciousness here is what we suggest.

Let the Taste Test Begin

Space Cake Taste Test Rating:

Chocolate muffin: mixed review. Kerry loves the chocolate, good consistency and no weed taste. Anders wants to taste the weed a bit, so whatever!

Blueberry muffin: unanimous. Not as good as the cinnamon raisin cake. Consistency was better, but no flavor only tasted weed... Lack of blueberry ness.

Cinnamon raisin cake: unanimous. Good, can taste the cinnamon and the weed, not to much cinnamon, not to much weed. Consistency could have been firmer though.

Disclaimer - The following was written while high:

2 hours and 1 and a half space cakes later, chocolate was the winner in my book, we or at least I am completely in my happy place. Must say this is just what I remember from college, totally relaxed, feeling like I am floating. Trying to type right is posing a very challenging task. Totally fucked up man! Quote from the movie we are watching, Big Labowski. Eyes keep falling and shutting on me. Right now I have my eyes closed trying to type and see how my brain is working. All I can do is try to type. I am picturing the keyboard trying to visualize where all the keys would be. This is really fun. Quoting the movie now: "Ok dude have it your way, take it easy dude, yeah thanks man call you're you dude. Hello. Oh no I haven't yet I would like to see you immediately, oh." Raining out right now, room is sipping and there is some thunder. Want to go lay down, and just float in the bed and my body, with the room spinning right now it is very hard to focus. Totally tuned into all the noises, movie, typing, tram, thunder, rain, breathing, spinning in my ears focus, falling asleep.
