A New Year in India

Back in Delhi to celebrate New Years with the family of artists I have created here in India. Keeping it low-key we went to a friend's house nearby in Gaurgon. Ringing in the New Year, we sang songs and laughed over stories told, a great way to start the year ahead.
The next day I was back at Akshay Pratashthan working on the mural, only to be drawn away into their New Year festivities. We danced for hours with the children on the schools stage, had lunch, and finally continued painting the beautiful mural we are creating on the wall of their resource room. I have never started a New Year in such a joyful way. Appreciating so much more in 2007 than in any other year all because of these last few months. I have a feeling this means my year to come will be filled with joy and laughter.
