Dinner with Gabby in Frankfurt

(Christine) Kristian and I met up with K's Mom's sister Gabby at her place on the other side of Frankfurt. We took the train and tram and were able to find her place with no problems. Had a lovely tea and looked at old photos. Gabby is an artist and showed us not only her paintings but her graphic design portfolio a rare treat. I was so impressed with her work and her style is inspiring. She also showed us water colour paintings that her dad had done over the years and Kristian and I were allowed to choose something special for us. I chose a seanic view of Frankfurt, very warm and inviting, a little street with a roundabout with a lovely tree in the centre. Reminded me of Gabby's neighbourhood, artistic and full of history. We walked to a wonderful Thai restaurant and had a traditional thai dinner, very tasty, very hot! Great way to warm up on a cool night. Then off to a local funky pub for a nightcap. It was great to meet and have the chance to talk about art and artists, I learned alot in one short evening. We'll visit again one day.
