Hola again, this time from Peru!!
We have made it across the border to Peru & the standards are about the same, not bad really!!
Now in Cusco only a few days away from the big one....Machu Picchu!!
Weather has been good as it is the rainy season & we havent been effected by it very much as it has only really rained when we are moving!!
Cusco is a very pleasant city and the Architecture is quite amazing, very Spanish Colonial with the base of most of the buildings are Incan.
What a combination.
We left La Paz at the right time as it seems it has only rained since leaving & they are now having some major problems with flooding, as well as some other places in Bolivia.
No major political changes here but they are having an election soon, where the favourite is a Female (what is going on here!!)......Sharon looking funny at me now!!
It seems we have effected the local political environment enough.
All is still going well & we only have 10 days to go until we get back to our little flat, which we will be glad to get back to.
8 weeks is a long time to live out of a backpack, it has been fantastic, but we have been moving alot during this trip so it gets tiring.
A few pictures of Cuzco for you too as well as the floating islands in Lake Titikaca which we visited when we were in Puno.
Time is flying.
Got to go.
Adios Amigos........our Spanish still hasnt advanced but we are used to saying No Gracias all the time now!
Bye for now
Keith and Sharon
