This place is kinda fishy...

Day Six: Barralodge, Maningrida, Arnhem Land
Everyone needs a real bender now and then...
I should preface what I am about to say with a couple of things.
1. This place is really beautiful and truly a luxury 'camping' experience. Tents with full en suite bathrooms, electricity, fully-stocked mini-fridges and fantastic views.
2. The food was just great and the main lodge had a wonderful balcony with a great view - a really nice place to chill out and talk about your travels.
3. It is definitely a really blokey-blokes place. Great for fishing and outdoorsy stuff and thats really all there is to do...unless....
You drink. It certainly seems as though that is what the managing director wants you to do. When we got there it was kinda cool - wine glasses filled up with top-notch reds and whites, spirits galore and imported beers abundant.
But it never stopped.
And then came the flirting...and the business card passing...and the tacky magazine he publishes with half-naked girls 'fishing'.
What made this place great is that we had a serious party - we were loud, played music, danced, sang and felt like a pile of sh*t when we had to hit the road the next morning at 7am!
Oh well...worse things have happened than getting a chance to party in a secluded and beautiful place with all of your friends...Ladies, just beware of the creepy owner...(ha)
