Sorry about the spelling on my most recent blogs. İt seems that the Turkısh alphabet is different than ours and the keyboard is somewhat scrambled. They all look normal to me as İ type but the result ıs a challenging read.

We have left the magical landscape of Goerme and are headed towards the coast in a rental car. This has allowed us to stop to explore holes in the ground, chase storks across the steppes of central Turkey, eat at local doners (restaurants), and get lost wıthout the ability to communicate. Overall, lots of fun. Last night we stayed in Knoya with the intent of seeing the Whirling Dervishes. Flo and İ saw a short displayy of this ancıent İslamic myystical dance while in İstanbul and we wanted the children to experience it too. Unfortunately, it only happens on saturday nights. Maybe in the destinations along the coast

Loving the posts and hearing about places I've never heard of before! Re: typing and the Turkish alphabet, the only key that's different is the 'i.' It appears as a 'y.' Otherwise, everything else is the same. xo

rainy day in Asheville

Wow, your adventure continues! I am blown away by all that you all are seeing and doing.

It has been a very rainy week here in the mtns of WNC. The rains this spring have put a serious dent in the drought conditions of the past few years. When the sun does come out to shine, everything is very green and perky.

Jess is with us this week. He is very impressed with your world travels.

This Sunday the Bishop comes for his visitation. Lots of activity here this Sunday.

And Geoffrey and Dawn Rollins had their baby this week--a girl, Gabrielle Marie. Healthy and happy are all.

Peace and prayers,

Brian Cole +
