Mighty Ducks Take Two and Border Fun...

Friday - After a fun afternoon at school where even the kids seemed to be enjoying learning English I decided a weekend celebration was in store and so to the hockey I went! Myself Thomas, Joe, Delia and Remy therefore donned our winter woolies, ordered some beers and poutine and sat through CRS Express`second home defeat of the season (they have only played 2 at home!) - good times! Followed by some drowning of sorrows in Rock Bar a fun time was had by all and another St-Georges Friday came to a close - St-G is the place to be :-)

Sat - So Saturday rolled around and myself and the other girls of the 11630 (Minus Mary who has had to go home for the week for graduation :-( boooo!) decided it was time to mix it up a bit and so across the border to the US of A we headed Beautiful Maine
Beautiful Maine
! Renting a car we hit the highway and made it into Maine post-fingerprinting and being photographed by US immigration!! We drove through Jackman and into Maine and saw some of the most gorgeous scenery and some rather impressive Moose Crossing signs! Setting down for a picnic in a park and a breather down by many a lake and river it really was an amazing time.

The funniest/most eventful part however came in an eventually unsuccessful moose hunt itself where we had some small town locals saying "follow us to find moose" and took us down some of THE most terrifying roads ever - we could definitely see why Stephen King chose to set so many bloody horror novels in Maine when we were sat behind a complete stranger being driven into the back of beyond!! Eeek! On stumbling upon rather too many burnt out buses we decieded it was time to lose te locals, lock the doors and hotfoot it back to the safety of the Georges! What a day!
